Quick Leek and Potato Soup

  • 1 onion, Peeled and quartered
  • 15 g butter
  • 300 g Small new potatos, Skin on quartered
  • 200 g leeks, Chopped
  • 25 g basmati rice
  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 litre water

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop the onion and butter for 4 seconds / speed 6. Scrape down the bowl and cook for 6mins / 120ºC / Speed 1. Add the chopped potatoes, leeks, stock paste/cubes, water , salt and pepper and cook for 20mins / 100ºC / REVERSE / Speed 1. Check the potatos and rice are cooked, stir in paisley and serve.
