  • 75 grams Philadephia cream cheese, softened, (see tips for alternatives)

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place chopped cauliflower into TM bowl and turbo pulse 3-4 times.

     

    Scrape down sides of bowl.

     

    Add butter and cook for 12 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 1.

     

    Add cream cheese, salt and pepper and blend for 30 seconds, speed 7.

Tip

** Cauliflower mash is a great low carb alternative and this recipe tastes just like regular mashed potatoes!

**The cauli mash freezes well.

**DOUBLING THE RECIPE:  increase cooking time to 15 minutes and double all ingredients (particularly recommended if using to top a pie)

**Cream cheese can be substituted with cooking cream or coconut cream (for a dairy free version).  Sour cream and milk also both work well.

 

**Different flavours can be added – try adding garlic, chives or parmesan cheese before blending for an added burst of flavour.
