Forum Steaming and Cooking in Varoma at lower temperatures

Is it possible to steam vegetables (maybe for longer times) at lower temperatures. For example I'd like to steam potato chunks in the varoma and whole beans on the Varoma tray while cooking the beef in ale or beef in stout recipes from 'The British Isles on a Plate' TM recipe book. These both cook for total 90 mins at 100°C. I'm an advisor (new) and the question I am asked most is how to use the TM to make whole family meals so I don't want to advise they put potato into the stew as they will already have meat and other root vegetables filling mixing bowl to capacity. I'll probably experiment but would be nice to know if someone has already checked this out!
