Coffee liqueur

  • 400 grams white sugar
  • 400 grams Brown sugar
  • 960 grams water
  • 200 grams instant coffee
  • 80 grams cocoa powder, 70% cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 960 grams vodka, 40% neutral as possible.

Recipe's preparation

    Coffee liqueur
  1. In thermomix bowl, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil at speed
  2. Reduce heat to 70C and simmer for 10 minutes at speed 2
  3. Add instant coffee and cocoa and mix at speed 6 for 40 seconds
  4. Allow to cool then pour into a demijohn or large jar
  5. When cool, pour in vanilla extract and vodka. Shake well. Pour into clean bottles. Close bottles tightly, and store in a cool dark place

Tip

This is a nice after dinner drink served cool in a shot glass. Also used as an ingredient in many coctails such as the Baby Guinness.
