Healthy "Raw Cookie Dough" Bites for Back to School

Ingredients

Raw Cookie Dough

  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 1 banana, small and ripe
  • 20 g Maple syrup, or honey
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch cinnamon, optional
  • 50 g chocolate chips, milk, white or dark

Recipe's preparation

    Raw Cookie Dough
  1. Blitz the oats for 2 seconds at speed 6. Just to break them down a little. 

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the chocolate chips. 

  3. Mix for 10 seconds at speed 4 to bring it all together. 

  4. Add the chocolate chips and mix on stir (Gentle stir setting) for 10 seconds. 

  5. Transfer to a container or bowl and leave in the fridge or bench for 10 minutes. You can shape them right away, but letting them rest gives it time for the mix to become less sticky. Make a cup of tea while you wait.

  6. Roll into balls. 

  7. Pack as part of a balanced lunch. For smaller children 1 or 2 is enough, for older kids up to 3.

  8. Enjoy a few yourself with that cup of tea you made!

Tip

My granddaughter loves these and I tend to make a batch of these then my raw carrot cake pops at the same time to last a week of lunches. You could also just double the recipe.
