Marney's Vanilla Bean Paste

Vanilla Bean Paste

  • 250 grams Rapadura Sugar
  • 125 grams water
  • 1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar.
  • 5 Vanilla Beans, (cut into 1cm lengths)

Recipe's preparation

    Vanilla Bean Paste
  1. 1. Place Rapadura and water into bowl and melt sugar 3 min/50°/speed 3

    2. Add Cream of tartar and mix 20sec/speed 3

    3. Add vanilla beans to bowl chop beans at 30 seconds/speed 9 then scrape down sides of bowl.

    4. Repeat step 3 three times until smooth consistency is acheived and the outside of the bean has no large chunks.

This will intensify in flavour as the vanilla infuses into the syrup.Keep refrigerated
