Banana Bread
- 4 Ripe bananas, peeled
- 130 g Unsalted butter, soft
- 150 g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 220 g plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder

Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf tin and set aside.
Place bananas into mixing bowl and mash 5 sec/speed 6.
Add butter and sugar and beat 20 sec/speed 4. Scrape down sides of bowl.
Add eggs and mix 10 see/speed 4.
Add all remaining ingredients and combine 20 sec/speed 4.
Pour into prepared loaf tin and bake 50 - 60 minutes, or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
Allow to cool in tin for 30 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack. Serve warm
or allow to cool completely before placing into an airtight container to store
Banana bread can be enjoyed either fresh or toasted
For a substitute to buttermilk add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk. Combine and allow to rest for five minutes before using in your recipe.
