- 1 large carrot (approx 100g), roughly chopped
- 100 g butternut pumpkin, roughly cubed
- 2 florets of brocoli
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cm ginger
- pinch ground coriander
- 40 g red lentils, washed
- 200 g water
- 1 teaspoon Vegetable stock paste, (prepared from thermomix)
- 15 g extra virgin olive oil

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
1. Chop garlic, carrot, pumpkin, brocoli 4 secs, speed 6.
2. Scrape down sides. Add oil & saute 2 min, 100c, speed 1.
3. Add spices, vegetable stock paste and lentils. Mix 20 secs, speed 1 so lentils are coated by spices.
4. Add water. Cook 15 mins, 100c, speed 1.
5. Puree if required, 5 - 20 secs, speed 7.
My 1 year old baby absolutely loved this. I cooked rice separately in the cooker as I found it was easy to cook such small portion in the cooker. Once rice and vegetable, lentil puree is ready I mixed them both together in a bowl and served with some papadums.
