Sweet potato with spinach and peas

  • 25 grams unslated butter
  • 50 grams washed and roughly chopped leek
  • 375 grams sweet potato diced into 2cm cubes
  • 50 grams frozen peas
  • 75 grams baby spinach washed tough stalks removed

Recipe's preparation

    For 6 to 7 month old babies - Suitable for freezing
  1. Add the butter and leeks and saute for 3mins Varoma speed 1

  2. Add the sweet potato and 200mls of water, cook for 3mins Varoma Counter-clockwise operation speed 1

    Then cook for a further 7 and a half mins at 100 degrees Counter-clockwise operation speed 1

  3. Add the washed spinach and frozen peas and cook for a further 3 mins 100 degrees speed 1

    Puree the mix for approx 45secs slowly increasing the speed to 7

  4. My Avent cups fit nicely in the MC hole, i then zero the scales and weigh the mix into 5 portions.

  5. If you don't have AVENT cups with lids then freezer bags do just the same, i place a bread plate on the thermomix and zero the scales before weighing into zip lock bags for the freezer

  6. Full of natural iron for babies growing needs
